The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) has elected Dennis C. Wilkinson, PLA, ASLA, ASIC to the ASLA Council of Fellows.

Dennis Wilkinson of MRWM Landscape Architects elected to ASLA Council of Fellows

Dennis Wilkinson received his Fellowship nomination from the New Mexico Chapter of ASLA in recognition of his exceptional accomplishments over a sustained period of time to the profession of landscape architecture in the category of Service. Fellowship is one of the highest honors the organization may bestow upon its members.

Through his hard work and dedication, Dennis Wilkinson has advanced the standing of the profession of landscape architecture in the key areas of licensure and continuing education. His greatest contributions as a leader came during his Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) presidency and the establishment of the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LACES). A standardized approval process for educational providers and programs is critical in convincing registration boards that landscape architects are effectively protecting public health, safety, and welfare. This contribution streamlined inter-jurisdictional registration and expanded the role that landscape architects play on multidisciplinary project teams. These efforts have undoubtedly solidified the legal foundation of landscape architecture nationwide.

“It is a real honor to be selected as a Fellow. Many thanks to the New Mexico Chapter of ASLA for my nomination,” said Dennis Wilkinson.

As one of the original founders of MRWM Landscape Architects in Albuquerque, Dennis Wilkinson has contributed to the success of the firm and its reputation for high quality, enduring landscape designs that further the appreciation of landscape architecture as a means of improving the quality of life throughout the Southwest.

Dennis will be elevated to the Council of Fellows at the ASLA Annual Meeting & Expo, October 22 in Los Angeles, CA.
